Youth Worker

Do you have a passion to see young people transformed by the Lord Jesus? Are you keen to disciple young people by teaching the bible? Are you prepared to serve humbly? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic servant-leader to help us develop our youth work. There is great potential to nurture the faith of a large cohort of young people entering our youth age-groups, and to reach out to our community through our links with local schools. Is this your next challenge?

St John’s is a large, conservative evangelical Anglican church on the outskirts of Woking. You will work as part of our ministry team alongside our Families and Children’s Worker, overseeing a committed team of youth leaders.

You will ideally have undertaken relevant training and have experience of working with young people.

Genuine Occupational Requirement: The post carries an occupational requirement to be a practising Christian, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

This is a full-time position. The remuneration package will range between £18,117 - £24,636 PA, depending on qualifications and experience, plus pension (based on equivalent JNC Grade: Youth and Community Worker).

To arrange an informal conversation about the role, please contact Peter Chamberlin (Associate Minister): peter [at] stjohnswoking.org.uk. Job description and application form available at www.stjohnswoking.org.uk/vacancies
