Youth Minister

Do you have a passion to see young people transformed by the Lord Jesus? Are you keen to disciple young people by teaching the bible? Are you prepared to serve humbly? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic servant-leader to help us develop our youth work. There is great potential to nurture the faith of a large cohort of young people entering our youth age-groups, and to reach out to our community through our links with local schools. Is this your next challenge?

St John’s is a large, conservative evangelical Anglican church on the outskirts of Woking. You will work as part of our ministry team alongside our Families and Children’s Worker, overseeing a committed team of youth leaders.

We’re looking for someone who has undertaken relevant training and has experience of working with young people.

This is a full-time position. Salary £18,117 – 24,636 depending on experience, plus housing and pension. More details can be found in the job pack below. Please contact Peter Chamberlin (Associate Minister, peter [at] stjohnswoking.org.uk) for an informal conversation about the role.

There is a genuine occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010) for the Youth Minister to be a practicing Christian.

Closing Date: 5pm Thursday 28th April.
